Principles of ABA

ABA, or Applied Behavior Analysis, is a scientific approach to understanding behavior and how it is influenced by the environment. ABA is commonly used to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities, but its principles can be applied to various populations and settings. By incorporating principles of ABA into the OT practice, occupational therapists can effectively address behavioral challenges, teach new skills, and promote independence and participation in daily activities for individuals across the lifespan.
